5 Ways To Create Your Own Luxury Spa Day At Home
I'll be the first to tell you that I love to be pampered. I would run through the streets with a megaphone screaming, "Pamper Me!" if that wouldn't get me locked up. Facials, massages, sauna, manicures, pedicures—ugh. There’s nothing quite like being serviced and beautified all at the same time—it’s definitely one of my glimmers.
It does come with a price, though. A hydro facial could cost up to $200 per session. Now add the cost of manicure, pedicure, and red light therapy? $$$$. The girlies need to budget. So that's why I'm sharing with you how to create a spa day at home.
First things first, "What's in your spa kit?" Every DIY spa kit for a luxury spa at home should have a face mask or cream, extraction tools, a steamer, epsom salt, bath bomb, dry brush, mask, and mani and pedi tools.
Now, I know this is a lot, but let me give you some ideas on how to mix and match this kit for a luxury spa day at home that you'll want on repeat.
Do a Facial Steam Session
After a high-intensity workout at the gym, after my shower, I like to put on a deep cleansing face cream, like Noxzema. It helps get into my pores to clear out all the dirt and oil on my face from working out. After I wash that off, I go in with my steamer and do some light extractions on my T-zone and chin.
Try Dry-Brushing
There is just something about dry brushing before a shower that boosts my dopamine levels times 100—I love it! It puts the "luxury" in my luxury spa day at home. My skin feels so supple, soft, clean, and it just feels good. If you want to feel extra luxurious, use exfoliating gloves in your shower. Thank me later.
Mani Pedi Yourself
When the panorama hit, at-home mani-pedis were something I did religiously every two weeks. Now, as a press-on nail girlie, I focus on keeping my nails healthy and strong.
Give Yourself a Soothing Epsom Salt Bath
I was a bit skeptical of epsom salt baths. I thought the only thing that could help my sore muscles was painful sports massages or just as painful foam rolling sessions. But once I tried it after an intense two weeks in the gym, I was a believer. Epsom salt baths are so good for easing stress, relaxing the body, reducing soreness and pain, softening the skin, and more!
Bask in a Bath Bomb
Mentally transport yourself to another realm as you indulge in a bath bomb. Light some candles, put on some soft music, grab a glass of wine, and relax. Some of the best bath bombs have ingredients such as jojoba, eucalyptus, tea tree oil, and even peppermint.
I hope you try some of these ideas and have a wonderful, luxurious spa day at home.
